Goodland was contracted to complete a total reconstruction of 1/2 miles of roadway along 52nd Ave. between Ward Rd. and Tabor St. The entire asphalt road was removed and replaced including new concrete sidewalks, ramps, and 4,330 LF of curb & gutter. New waterline, 12” to 42” RCP storm pipe, new inlets, manholes, and fire hydrants replaced the old systems. New light poles and traffic signals were installed and then new landscape and irrigation finished off this impressive project.

Loretto Heights is a 75-acre infill redevelopment lead by Westside Investments and the Loretto Heights Metropolitan District. Thrive Home Builders then purchased approximately 26 acres from Westside in the form of graded and fully serviced superpads. Goodland performed the overlot grading, utilitity and concrete work which included; overexcavation and compaction of the site, installation of water lines, sanitary and storm sewer installation and the installation of the concrete alleyways and sidewalks.

The development of Superior’s new downtown was a real challenge. The two square blocks were filled with a concrete plaza, 300 LF of concrete seat walls, water fountain, play equipment, site furnishings, and landscape. Many areas were designed with five-foot walls and steps for the necessary grade changes. To accommodate these features the new streets that surrounded the plaza had to be retrofitted with the necessary water, sanitary and storm lines.

The future place of 48 new homes, Goodland completed the entire infrastructure build out for this new Superior Residential site. Exporting 1,500 CY’s of soil and Cut & Fill an additional 750 CY’s was needed to complete the earthwork including the necessary subgrade prep. Then 770 LF new 24”/15”/12”/10” storm pipe was installed with all the inlet and manhole connections. Concrete sidewalks, curb & gutter, and driveway cuts were then constructed and then new street lighting finished this new development.

Goodland Construction was contracted to get two blocks "Pad Ready" in the new Superior Town Center. Utility work included installing over 1,300 feet of new sewer line and 1,900 feet of 8" waterline with 48 new water services. Concrete included new curb and gutter, sidewalks and alleys. Upgrading an old sanitary system for six blocks along 48th Ave. Goodland removed half of the street to install 600 LF of 15” RCP, 400 LF of 18” RCP, 525 LF of 24” RCP, and 200 LF of 36” RCP, including numerous inlets and manholes. Included in the upgrade was new sidewalk and curb and gutter along the south side and to finish off the work the north side of the street was rotomilled and the entire street was paved with new asphalt.

A new 8 acre park for the Town of Erie will have the residence enjoying all types of activities. A big grass area and basketball court for sports and custom playgrounds for the kids. The town decided to make this park special by designing custom play pieces and custom shelters complimented with colored pattern concrete and a solar summit climbing hill with an engraved sun dial at the top. Other features include a stainless steel sphere, slackline balance cable and to top off these exciting features fiber optic lights will shine through the concrete in a radiating pattern.
