Superior Plaza

The development of Superior’s new downtown was a real challenge. The two square blocks were packed with a concrete plaza, 300 LF of concrete seat walls, water fountain, play equipment, site furnishings, and landscape. To accommodate these features new streets that surrounded the plaza had to be constructed with the necessary water, sanitary and storm lines. Many areas had five-foot walls and steps for the grade changes.

Ward Rd. TOD Street Improvements

Goodland was contracted to complete a total reconstruction of 1/2 miles of roadway along 52nd Ave. between Ward Rd. and Tabor St. The entire asphalt road was removed and replaced including new concrete sidewalks, ramps, and 4,330 LF of curb & gutter. New waterline, 12” to 42” RCP storm pipe, new inlets, manholes, and fire hydrants replaced the old systems. New light poles and traffic signals were installed, and then new landscape and irrigation finished off this impressive project.

S. Boulder Rd. Pedestrian Crossing

Improving pedestrian traffic flow, 5 intersections were removed and replace with pedestrian friendly signing, striping, new ramps and traffic signal modifications. Then concrete, asphalt and landscape repairs were completed.

Superior Town Center

Goodland Construction was contracted to get two blocks "Pad Ready" in the new Superior Town Center. Utility work included installing over 1,300 feet of new sewer line and 1,900 feet of 8" waterline with 48 new water services. Concrete included new curb and gutter, sidewalk and alleys. Goodland self performed all of the utility, earthwork, concrete and landscape on this project.

Broadway & Plaza Intersection

The entire intersection was removed for these improvements. An upgrade to the signal lights were completed including concrete roadway pavement, concrete sidewalks and curb & gutter, asphalt patching and then new landscape finished off this extensive project.

SH88, Belleview Ave. Improvements

Working for the Colorado Department of Transportation, Goodland installed new traffic signals, ADA ramps and a new colored stamped concrete median along Bellview Ave. from S. Federal Blvd. to S. Prince St. for better traffic flow.

Eastlake RTD Station

To accommodate the new light rail coming through this gateway plaza invites RTD riders coming off the platform concrete walls were creatively designed to bring the riders into this beautiful space with planters, seat walls, site amenities, and new lighting. Added to this project is upgrading the road along this new plaza including a new storm sewer service.

Jefferson County Building Plaza

A fresh new look for an iconic building. The Jefferson County Government Building is upgrading their entryway plaza by removing everything and installing new pavers in a new design. Complementing the pavers are new concrete planters with new landscape and for safety the round-about drive is lined with new concrete bollards. To finish off this new look new lighting will be installed.

Star Meadows Park

A new 8 acre park for the Town of Erie will have the residence enjoying all types of activities. A big grass area and basketball court for sports and custom playgrounds for the kids. The town decided to make this park special by designing custom play pieces and custom shelters complimented with colored pattern concrete and a solar summit climbing hill with an engraved sun dial at the top. Other features include a stainless steel sphere, slackline balance cable and to top off these exciting features fiber optic lights will shine through the concrete in a radiating pattern.

Colfax Ave. & Lipan Intersection

To continue Denver's entryway to downtown the unique medians that were installed between Speer Blvd. and Broadway will continue west to Mariposa Street. New medians will be installed in these two blocks including traffic signal adjustments, intersection and bus lane improvements and new landscape and irrigation.

Metro Bike Trail

This last piece of bike trail connected the City of Aurora’s Municipal Building with existing trails and the new RTD park and ride. This 3/4 mile of trail had extensive grading to accommodate the sever slope between the RTD park and ride and the underpass under Alameda Blvd. Then unique color concrete bands were used to warn bikers of upcoming intersections. The last piece connected the existing pond behind the Municipal Building with the parking lot with a beautifully designed plaza.
